Gates and bridges for 2nd Julianasluis in Gouda

The Julianasluis in Gouda connects the IJssel and Gouwekanaal and as such it is a major waterway hub in the province of Zuid-Holland. So as to be able to deal with the increase in professional and leisure shipping in the future, a second lock chamber was constructed next to the existing chamber from 1936.

On the instruction of main contractor Van Hattum en Blankevoort, Hollandia Infra carried out the steel and mechanical work for this second lock chamber.
Hollandia Infra designed, manufactured, delivered and assembled four point lock gates, including the electrical-mechanical movements, it delivered one set of levelling sliding gates and the spare movements. In addition it designed, manufactured, delivered and assembled the two steel drawbridges across the new lock complex.
